The Spongiola is a lovely hotel. I have never stayed anywhere so pretty! The location is a beautiful, unspoiled island set on crystal clear, transparent waters that can only be reached by boat. Wonderful. The hotel has a private beach and its own water taxi.
Nothing was ever too much trouble, from popping us over in their own ferry to the mainland for supper or organizing transfers from Split or transport to the larger, more commercial beach.
Well worth the trip outside of the chaos of city life, the perfect opportunity to recharge the batteries.
